I addition to the services we offer for women and men, Vestis Soul Care Ministries partners with churches, ministries, nonprofits, community groups, leadership teams, and organizations to create environments where people can better understand trauma, communicate across differences, and respond to one another with greater wisdom, compassion, and sensitivity.
Our general offerings can be adapted to meet the unique needs, concerns, demographics, culture, and population of your organization.
Based in Kansas City, Missouri, we minister globally via technology and travel. No matter where you live, please CONTACT US to let us know how we can help.

COFFEE & CONVERSATIONS: CUSTOMIZED TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
Real People. Nuanced Topics. Healthier Conversations.
Coffee & Conversations is a facilitated experience designed to help people engage in conversations that are often necessary—but difficult to navigate well.
Through guided discussion, thoughtful questions, and trauma-sensitive facilitation, participants are encouraged to listen beyond their own experiences, consider diverse perspectives, and practice communicating about nuanced or potentially sensitive topics with greater understanding.
Coffee & Conversations can be customized around the needs of your ministry, organization, leadership team, or community and may address topics such as relationships, faith, race and culture, generational differences, emotional health, leadership, family dynamics, church experiences, trauma, reconciliation, and community concerns.
The goal is not to force agreement. It is to help people become better equipped to listen, understand, communicate, and build bridges across differences.
Engage. Listen. Learn. Grow.
TRAUMA EDUCATION WORKSHOPS: CHOOSE YOUR TOPICS AND TIMEFRAME
From Trauma Awareness to Trauma Sensitivity.
You don’t have to be a counselor to interact with people who have experienced trauma.
Vestis Trauma Education Workshops help participants develop a practical understanding of what trauma is, how it can affect people, and how greater trauma awareness can change the way we lead, serve, communicate, teach, minister, and build relationships.
Workshops can help participants recognize how trauma may influence behaviors, emotional responses, relationships, trust, communication, and a person’s sense of safety—while avoiding the tendency to label or diagnose people.
Depending upon the audience and organizational needs, training may include:
-
Understanding trauma and its potential impact
-
Recognizing trauma-related responses without diagnosing
-
Moving from “What is wrong with you?” toward “What may have happened to you?”
-
Developing trauma-sensitive communication
-
Understanding triggers, safety, and emotional regulation
-
Responding to difficult behaviors with both compassion and appropriate accountability
-
Creating healthier environments within ministries and organizations
-
Understanding when someone may need additional professional support
Our objective is not to turn attendees into trauma specialists. It is to help everyday people become more trauma-aware, trauma-sensitive, compassionate, and intentional in how they respond to others.

Whether your church is building, growing, transitioning, or rebuilding after a difficult season, Vestis comes alongside leadership to assess what exists, identify what is needed, and help develop practical structures for moving forward.
Healthy Leaders. Healthy Structure. Healthier Ministry.
"Better understanding can change the way we communicate.
Better communication can change the way we serve.
And healthier service can help create safer communities."
